Alpe Adria S.p.a. is a logistics company that manages and co-ordinates rail, road and sea intermodal transport at the ports of Trieste, Monfalcone and Porto Nogaro. It is equally owned by the Trieste Port Authority, Friulia S.p.a. (finance company of the Regione Friuli Venezia Giulia) and Trenitalia S.p.a. (Gruppo Ferrovie dello Stato), and is a member of U.I.R.R., the pool of European logistics operators based in of European logistics operators based in Brussels. It also manages other intermodal centres of the regional logistics platform. The company operates through an integrated network of connections to and from the North-East.
