Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC)
Mediterranean Shipping Company S.A. is an international shipping line founded by Gianluigi Aponte in Italy in 1970, with headquarters in Switzerland since 1978. The privately held company is owned by the Aponte family. It is now a leading, global shipping, logistics and port terminal operator. Its port terminal division is called Terminal Investment Limited (Til). MSC Cruises is a subsidiary in the cruise liner industry.
