Azov Sea

The Azov Sea is a sea in Eastern Europe connected to the Black Sea by the narrow (about 4 km) Strait of Kerch. The sea is bounded by Russia on the southeast and by Ukraine on the northwest. Ports on the Azov Sea include Berdyansk and Mariupol (both Ukraine) and Taganrog (Russia). Following the February 24, 2022, invasion of Ukraine by Russia, Moscow has blockaded all Ukrainian seaports and occupied Berdyansk and Mariupol.
