Greece
Greece is a republic in Southern Europe at the end of the Balkan Peninsula; it borders the Mediterranean, Ionian and Aegean Seas; member of the European Union (EU); the port scene is dominated by the Port of Piraeus, the port of capital city Athens; under a 2016 privatisation deal, COSCO Shipping Ports bought a 51% stake in Piraeus Port Authority for €280 million and committed to mandatory investments worth about €294 million over five years to later buy an additional 16% stake.
