Portimão

Portimão is a port-city and municipality located in the Algarve region of southern Portugal. It is situated on the Atlantic coast. It is operated by Ports of Sines and the Algarve Authority, S. A. The commercial Port of Portimão offers 330m quay length, a Ro-Ro quay, a 22.000m2 yard and is equipped with 2 cranes. It is able to receive vessels up to 215m l.o.a. and 8m of draft, with capacity up to 2.000 passengers and 50.000 GT. Portimão is especially endowed for cruise vessels, despite being also able to handle general cargo, with some restrictions as far as land access concerns, due to its location inside the city plus the limitations to clean cargoes, compatible with the cruises operation.
