Turkmenbashi

Turkmenbashi is a port-city in Balkan Province in Turkmenistan, on the Türkmenbaşy Gulf of the Caspian Sea’s Eastern coast. It is an important transshipment centre and terminus of the Central Asian Railway, and it has a rail-ferry link to Baku, Azerbaijan. An oil refinery and a petrochemical industry in the city are linked by pipelines to oil and gas fields. It is a port on the Lapis Lazuli trade corridor.
