Venice

Venice is a seaport in North Adriatic Sea in Northeast Italy, and built on numerous small islands in the Lagoon of Venice. Commercial, passenger and other terminals form the Ports of Venice and Chioggia. They handle any kind of traffic, from containers, to liquid and solid bulk, steel products, Ro-Ro/Ro-Pax, general and project cargo. It has a developed cruise ship industry which is having to change after large cruise ship were banned from the lagoon for environmental reasons. The two ports are managed by Autorita’ di Sistema Portuale del Mare Adriatico Settentrionale (AdSPMAS – Northern Adriatic Sea Port Authority).
