Vilagarcía

The seaport is located in Northwest Spain. It has direct access to the AP-9 motorway (Autoestrada do Atlántico) and the A-52 dual carriageway (Autovía da Rías Baixas), as well as its own recently extended rail connection which reaches all the quays and is linked to the national rail network. The modern Border Inspection Post (BIP) allows all kinds of goods to be inspected quickly. Its adaptability and flexibility, which allow it to meet the needs of its customers and users, as well as a business culture based on quality and respect for the environment, are two major features of this port. The port is managed by Autoridad Portuaria de Vilagarcía (APV – Port Authority of Vilagarcía). State ports are managed by Puertos del Estado which executes port policy of the government; made up of 28 port authorities that manage the 46 ports.
