Press Release - Prevention and protection measures for COVID-19 by Thessaloniki Port Authority SA - April 14, 2020 Realizing in time the criticality of the situation due to the spread of COVID-19, Thessaloniki Port Authority (ThPA) responded immediately and effectively to the recommendations of the state and the health authorities, taking all necessary measures to ensure both public health and the protection of its employees, these traders and its external partners, while ensuring the smooth operation of the commercial traffic and the supply chain services served by the Port of Thessaloniki. Following closely the developments, ThPA proves with the operation of all its employees and executives, the high sense of responsibility and consistency in the instructions of both the competent authorities and the scientific community, in practice supporting the National Health System in the fight against COVID-19. In this context, indicatively, some of the prevention and protection measures taken by the company to date are the following:• Temporary suspension of all business trips• Carrying out corporate meetings and meetings through teleconferences• Meetings with third parties at the Company's headquarters, only in exceptional cases and with strict application of the prescribed measures of prevention and protection• Carrying out disinfection of the company's facilities (interiors, workshops, gates, equipment, machinery, etc.) every 10 days• Provision of medical equipment (antiseptic liquids, antiseptic wipes, disposable gloves, masks, etc.) to all the company's staff• Sending informative e-mails to employees, with the aim of informing them immediately about the prevention and protection measures applied• Instructions for additional precautionary measures against employees who come into contact with traders (cashiers, office workers, etc.) for continuous use of gloves and change them several times a day• Posting in prominent places, in all workplaces of the Port, the information leaflets issued by the Ministry of Health which provide information on the general protection measures against COVID-19, the correct way to wash hands, the correct way to use and removal of gloves, etc• Encourage telework, where possible, by providing the necessary equipment to employees and providing special purpose permits, ensuring workers' earnings in full By remaining faithful to the principles and values of the Company, we consistently adhere to our commitments and obligations and contribute collectively, Employees and Management, to the fullest extent possible, with hope and optimism for the "next day" of the crisis.
